the former General Manager of the Somme Association, is well known to those associated with the First World War and, in particular, the history of the 36th (Ulster) Division. Billy’s knowledge of the events of the 14-18 conflict have been acknowledged by many authors and we are particularly honoured that Billy has come out of retirement to act as consultant for “Fields of Conflict”.
